Inversion and Subject-Verb Agreement


A subject doesn't always come in the beginning of a sentence. It is possible for a verb to come before the subject for EMPHASIS. This is called an inversion, the most difficult concept used in SVA questions. While inversion questions don’t appear often, they are frequently tested. Therefore, we must understand this concept to ace the SAT and the ACT.



In an inversion, the sentence order will be 


verb -> subject, instead of subject -> verb
