Inversion and Subject-Verb Agreement

A subject doesn't always come in the beginning of a sentence. It is possible for a verb to come before the subject for EMPHASIS . This is called an inversion , the most difficult concept used in SVA questions. While inversion questions don’t appear often, they are frequently tested. Therefore, we must understand this concept to ace the SAT and the ACT. In an inversion, the sentence order will be  verb -> subject , instead of subject -> verb Common Inversions:

In English, there are many different types of nouns, and the two most important types are countable and uncountable nouns. As the names suggest, countable nouns refer to those that can be counted such as "apple," "book," and "phone," while uncountable refers to nouns that cannot be counted like "water," "air," and "love."
